How to Use Your Doughable Dough Balls 🍕
Step 1: Freezing Your Dough
Your dough will arrive individually sealed in bags, with the proving pots packed separately. This helps keep them cooler in transit and takes up less space in your freezer.
As soon as your delivery arrives, pop the sealed dough bags straight into the freezer unless you’re using them that day.
Step 2: Thawing the Dough
When you’re ready to use the dough, remove it from the freezer the night before and take each dough ball out of the bag straight away.
⚠️ Do not let the dough thaw in the bags, as it can stick and be tricky to remove. If the bags are stuck slightly to the dough, let them thaw for just a few minutes until they peel away easily.
Place the dough balls into the pots provided, pop the lids on, and leave them to thaw overnight in the fridge.
Step 3: Proving the Dough
On the day of use, take the pots out of the fridge and leave them to warm up slowly at room temperature for a few hours.
The dough is ready when it has doubled in size and feels soft, light, and airy.
Step 4: Time to Stretch!
Gently remove the lid and use a knife to loosen the dough from the edge of the pot if needed. Turn the pot upside down and let the dough slide out — a gentle wobble usually does the trick!
Now you’re ready to stretch your dough into shape. Handle it lightly to keep all that lovely air inside — this will give you a beautifully light crust. Whether it’s a classic Margherita or your own signature pizza, enjoy!
